When you listen to the music on the radio these days it can all seem very much the same. The market is becoming more and more condensed and full of DJs attempting to establish themselves as big names on the scene. While for me a lot of them can kind of blend into one when I’m listening to them, there is one artist who has always shown an ability to grab my year as I’m listening, Sigala.
Sigala, or Brian Fielder when off stage, has had six singles so far chart in the UK charts since the release of his debut single Easy Love in 2015. Fielder’s first introduction to music came when he started learning piano, he would later go on to achieve Grade 8 standard on the instrument and it is one of the strongest influences on the music that he writes. He would eventually go on to study music in college and would leave Norwich City College with a degree in commercial music. After leaving college Fielder went on to go into mixing and producing music for different artists, before the eventual release of his debut single Easy Love.
Since then, Sigala has gone on to become one of the biggest and most esteemed names in pop music.
This post will go through some of the songs that I particularly enjoyed from the English DJ and producer:
Came Here For Love (with Ella Eyre)
Sweet Lovin’ (with Bryn Christopher)
Wish You Well (with Becky Hill)
