Some people are just made to be superstars. Some people are the kind of people that you could never ever imagine doing something other than being on stage in front of hundreds, the idea of them working an office job just seems to be totally alien to them. These people are rare, but a definite example of one is Reginald Kenneth Dwight, but more people will probably know him as Sir Elton John.
John, along with long time collaborative lyricist Bernie Taupin, is responsible for some of the most popular and successful songs of the last fifty or more years. It is believed that the pair have worked on over thirty albums together and they have managed to sell over 300 million records in that time. Regarded as one of the best pianists of all time, his songs have been the soundtrack to many milestones in the lives of people all over the world, and for many people he will forever be their favourite musician.
It would be impossible to do justice to the incredible career of Elton John in this post, so instead we’re just going to list five of our favourite songs by the artist…
