Back in 2013 was when I first came in contact with the music of the Canadian electro-funk outfit, Chromeo, when I heard the third single from their newest album, White Women. The funky and upbeat tones of the song immediately attracted me to the sound, here was a song that aimed to make you want to dance and nothing more. It lead to me paying more attention to the activity of David Macklovitch and Patrick Gemayel.

Chromeo, since their conception in 2002, have released five full length albums: She’s In Control (2004); Fancy Footwork (2007); Business Casual (2010); White Women (2014); and Head Over Heels (2018). The albums have all received good to favourable reviews, and each has continued the funky sound that they made their own.

This post will look at some of the songs by the Canadian band that I think are most worthy of your time.

Jealous (I Ain’t With It) (White Women, 2014)

Night By Night (Business Casual, 2010)

Sexy Socialite (White Woman, 2014)
